RATINGS: 90pts Vinous; 90pts Wine Spectator; 90pts Wine Enthusiast

Each Cuvee is true to the Veuve Clicquot style and spirit, faithfully maintained from the time when Madame Clicquot was running the House under the motto, ƒ??Only one quality, the finestƒ??. Created with a majority of Pinot Noir in the blend, the Veuve Clicquot Champagne style is noted for a firm structure, full-bodied texture and rich aromas.

Veuve Cliquot Yellow Label is a perfect example of harmony between delicacy and power. Dominated by Pinot Noir, this wine has a firm structure, rounded with a touch of Pinot Meunier. Nearly a third of Chardonnay gives it the elegance and finesse needed for perfect balance. A blend of fifty crus, mainly Grands and Premiers Crus. Consistent quality due to 25 to 35% of reserve wines.

Tasting Notes: Wine Spectator 90 points - This is tightly knit and racy, with a spicy underpinning and a clean-cut mix of poached pear, grated ginger and pink grapefruit zest. An aperitif style, showing a crisp, lacy finish. Drink now. -AN.November/2017

Wine Enthusiast 90 points - One of the most familiar of Champagnes, the Yellow Label is finely made-a fruity while structured wine. It has both fresh and fragrant fruit as well as richness, a soft, creamy texture and bright acidity. There is no sense in bottle aging here-drink this wine because of its crispness..Roger Voss, December/2013

Vinous 90 points - (roughly 50% pinot noir, 30% chardonnay and 20% pinot meunier; Lot 14009913): Light gold. Musky orchard fruits and dried fig on the mineral-accented nose. Fleshy and broad on the palate, offering smoky pear and nectarine flavors and a hint of honey. Finishes on a gently spicy note, with very good cling and a touch of bitter lemon pith. Things have definitely begun to turn around for this bottling, which had been lagging behind the wineryƒ??s vintage offerings for some time..Josh Raynolds, December/2013
