In the 16th century, Gaudenz Knipser worked as a town builder and councilor of the South Tyrolean town of Merano. At that time, the Knipser family was given the family coat of arms by Archduke Ferdinand, whom the Knipsers still today bear with great pride. In memory of these great ancestors, this unique red wine takes its name.

Only very rarely do you find masterful cuv??es from Cabernet Sauvignon and Dornfelder . Anyone who has tried it once will not be able to leave it. The family Knipser treats the wine after the harvest 12 months maturation in the barrique . The wine thanks it with spicy vanilla aromas woven into the dress of blackberries, cassis and red fruits. Round and soft, the wine presents itself on the tongue and slips pleasantly down the palate. In the glass it sparkles ruby red with purple reflections.

The masterful Cuv??e Gaudenz offers an excellent Gutswein alternative to the Sp???tburgunder . The wine is the living proof that it can take German red wine with the great red wines of France. He accompanies an excellent deer goulash as well as other game dishes or pasta specialties. The cuv??e is always a highlight.
